Position SummaryThe Vehicle Mechanic Technician/Inspector conducts comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and mechanical equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety and performance standards. This role supports continuous mission‑critical operations and requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Technicians must furnish their own professional‑grade tools, including diagnostic scanners capable of performing system‑level troubleshooting, to effectively identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform safety and preventive maintenance inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline systems
- Use personal diagnostic scanners for troubleshooting
- Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, and electrical components
- Maintain service records and inspection documentation
- Ensure work meets safety, OEM, and site standards
- Support priority repairs as needed
- 5+ years of professional vehicle maintenance experience
- Must provide own tools and diagnostic scanners
- Proficient with technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment
- Able to work extended hours
- Must pass all required background checks and site access requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
