** The
** Process Engineer
** applies industrial and manufacturing engineering principles to improve efficiency, productivity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across manufacturing operations. The position analyzes production data, equipment performance, workflows, layouts, labor, and operating methods to identify constraints and implement practical improvements.
** Process Engineer Responsibilities*
* * Analyze production performance, OEE, downtime, cycle times, changeovers, labor utilization, and production attainment to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Evaluate line balance, bottlenecks, equipment utilization, capacity, material flow, and plant layouts to increase productive output.
* Develop and improve standard work, production standards, cycle times, labor standards, and visual performance measures.
* Lead and support continuous-improvement projects that reduce downtime, waste, changeover time, labor requirements, rework, and scrap.
* Identify and evaluate automation, mechanization, equipment, and capital projects; support implementation, commissioning, and performance validation.
* Support new product introductions and process changes by establishing practical manufacturing methods, capacity requirements, and operating standards.
* Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, HSSE, Scheduling, and Materials to solve recurring manufacturing problems and sustain improvements.
* Develop actionable performance reports and use data to measure the results and financial/operational impact of improvement initiatives.
* Perform capacity calculations, time studies, line balancing, root-cause analysis, and basic ROI/business-case analysis.
** Process Engineer Qualifications*
* * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
* 2–5 years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience preferred, with demonstrated process-improvement results.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical shop-floor improvements.
* Experience with OEE, capacity analysis, line balancing, time studies, Lean/continuous improvement, and manufacturing KPIs preferred.
* Strong Excel/data-analysis skills; experience with automated manufacturing equipment or capital projects is preferred.
* Ability to spend 50%+ of an average day on your feet walking the lines.
* Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
