Assistant Director of Nursing - Licensed Vocational Nurse (78450)
Position:
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Brenham, TX.
The ADON assists in ensuring quality care that promotes the highest physical, mental, and psychological well‑being of residents as determined by resident assessments and individual plans of care.
Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing day‑to‑day nursing functions in accordance with rules, regulations, and facility policies.
- Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of residents’ total care.
- Communicate with attending physicians, medical directors, and families regarding resident care issues as needed.
- Determine staffing needs, recruit, hire, and train nursing personnel.
- Ensure sufficient nursing staff for each shift to meet daily nursing care needs.
- Develop work assignments and schedules; supervise staff to ensure tasks completed.
- Assist facility daily start‑up process; develop and maintain quality assurance program.
- Serve on quality assurance committee; review resident clinical records and consultant reports; implement corrective plans.
- Assist with MDS assessments and care plans; participate in facility nursing on‑call schedule; perform any other duties deemed reasonable by Director of Nursing.
- LVN program completion at an accredited vocational school, college, or university.
- Current Texas LVN licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of skilled nursing facility experience.
- Preferred current RUG certification.
