Manage and coordinate all activities relating to Quality Control at U.S. sites, including the testing of raw materials, finished goods, and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of a top-quality system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies
- Oversee operations of the Quality Control functions at all Quest Specialty facilities
- Create, maintain, and follow the Quality System Manual; assist in preparation and maintenance of Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
- Lead efforts to correct problems or deficiencies in the Quality System
- Serve as a leader in driving overall site improvement from a quality and efficiency perspective
- Manage the customer complaint/CPAR system; investigate product/process failures and customer complaints as needed
- Assess, evaluate and implement consistent Q.C. Lab and Line Procedures
- Evaluate and improve Q.C. test methods
- Provide physical and electronic control procedures for non-conforming product
- Implement improved data collection and analysis techniques
- Assist in troubleshooting operational problems
- Recommend processing improvements to reduce cycle times and increase consistent quality
- Working in conjunction with the Regulatory team, collect and maintain EPA & FDA records, processes and programs
- Create, manage and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Manage document control functions
- Evaluate, maintain and manage internal audit program
- Five or more years of management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
- BS degree in chemistry or engineering
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and deliver by deadlines
- Strong computer skills and experience with control system operation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
The work may be performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate noise levels. This job requires the employee to stand; walk; sit; use hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
