A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with special educational needs in nursery or primary settings to provide tailored, one-to-one support and make a real difference in a pupil’s learning and development.

About the Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Work closely with a specific pupil with special educational needs, providing personalised support

* Assist with delivering differentiated activities tailored to the pupil’s individual learning and development needs

* Support the pupil in developing literacy, numeracy, social, and emotional skills

* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCo

* Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective support

* Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate

* Experience working with children in nursery or primary settings with SEN in the uk – essential

* Understanding of strategies to support children with SEN effectively

* Excellent communication, patience, and empathy

* A proactive, flexible, and collaborative team player

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
