Salary will be paid at M1 in line with the Outer London Main Pay Scale and is suitable for an Early Career Teacher beginning their teaching career.

A welcoming Church of England primary school in Barnet is seeking a passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join their friendly and dedicated team from September. About the Role
Full responsibility for a Year 2 class of 19 pupils
Supported by a strong classroom team including two 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants and a class Teaching Assistant
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
Use assessment to monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
Contribute positively to the wider life and values of the school
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT to develop confidence in behaviour management, differentiation and small-group teaching within a highly supportive environment.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS by September 2026
A strong interest in teaching Key Stage 1
Ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A reflective and motivated teacher committed to professional development
Able to work collaboratively with support staff, parents and pupils while supporting the school’s Christian ethos
