The Role - Teacher of Science

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Brent is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of Science to join its teaching team on a long-term basis starting in January.

As the successful Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and understanding while supporting them to achieve their academic potential.

You will work closely with the Science department and wider teaching team to deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum. You will monitor student progress, provide effective feedback and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning needs.

Previous experience teaching Science within a secondary school is desirable, along with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the subject. Experience teaching GCSE Science would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and confident in the classroom, with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students. A commitment to maintaining high expectations and creating an engaging learning environment is essential.
