About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Maths Teacher to join the school from January 2027 on a long-term basis through to the end of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Maths teacher to join a supportive secondary school environment and make a genuine difference to students' progress, confidence and attainment in Mathematics.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop strong mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills and confidence in applying their knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teach Mathematics in line with the school's curriculum and examination requirements.
Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations.
Develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
Establish a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.
Support students with SEND and different learning needs.
Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider teaching team.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and academic achievement.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Maths teacher who is:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experienced teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4.
Experienced in preparing students for GCSE Maths.
A confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
Able to differentiate effectively for students of varying abilities.
Passionate about Mathematics and committed to raising student attainment.
Able to build positive relationships with students.
Reliable, professional and committed to a long-term position.
