Freight Forwarding & Logistics Temporary Ocean Import Coordinator Required Our client, a well-established and highly respected freight forwarding business based in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join their busy operations team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with strong ocean import experience to join a successful and growing organisation known for delivering exceptional customer service and logistics solutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities Managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers Monitoring shipment milestones and proactively updating customers Ensuring all import documentation is accurate and compliant Processing customs-related information and coordinating clearance activities Raising files, invoicing, and maintaining accurate operational records Resolving shipment issues and providing effective customer support Working closely with internal departments to ensure service delivery targets are met Requirements Previous experience within freight forwarding, specifically ocean imports Strong understanding of end-to-end import processes Experience liaising with shipping lines, agents, and customs authorities Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously Good working knowledge of freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment What's on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £15.38 - £17.95 per hour Opportunity to work with a well-established freight forwarding business Supportive and professional working environment Immediate start available Potential for contract extension depending on business requirements If you have ocean import experience and are available for a temporary opportunity in the Liverpool area, we'd love to hear from you.
