We are recruiting on behalf of a construction services business for an experienced Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and lead the day-to‑day finance function. Immediate start available.

• Lead, manage and develop the finance team.
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reporting.
• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed.
• Oversee weekly payroll, client invoicing and supplier payments.
• Ensure VAT, PAYE, CIS and Corporation Tax obligations are processed accurately and on time.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow and the invoice discounting facility.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Assist with year‑end accounts and external audits.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, including the company vehicle fleet, and hire purchase schedules.
• Support the Finance Director with process improvements and internal controls.

• At least two years' experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar senior finance leadership role.
• Proven experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Strong experience producing monthly management accounts and managing month‑end/year‑end close.
• Confident overseeing VAT, PAYE and CIS compliance.
• Strong cash flow, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills;
  Sage accounting software experience is advantageous.
• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified, part‑qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
