The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying and inspecting fire doors across a range of residential, commercial and public sector properties, ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out detailed fire door inspections and condition surveys.
* Identify defects, non-compliance issues and remedial works required.
* Produce accurate survey reports, photographic records and recommendations.
* Assess fire doors, frames, ironmongery, seals and associated components.
* Ensure inspections are completed in accordance with relevant fire safety legislation and industry guidance.
* Liaise with clients, site teams and operational management regarding survey findings.
* Manage your own workload across multiple sites throughout Essex and London.
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Fire Door Surveyor or Inspector.
* Strong knowledge of FIRAS and BM TRADA requirements is essential.
* Good understanding of fire door installation, maintenance and certification standards.
* Ability to identify defects and provide clear recommendations for remedial works.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent reporting skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
