Senior CAD Drafter – Curtain Wall / Storefront Systems

Long Island, NY | Full-Time | Permanent

Established and growing Glass & Glazing Subcontractor on Long Island is seeking a Senior CAD Drafter with strong experience in curtain wall, storefront, and architectural glass systems. We specialize in commercial façade projects including curtain walls, storefronts, canopies, entrances, and custom glazing systems.

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for curtain wall, storefront, and canopy systems
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop accurate fabrication packages
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and field teams
• Incorporate RFIs, revisions, and field measurements into updated drawings
• Ensure compliance with project specs, structural requirements, and manufacturer standards
• Support fabrication and installation teams with clear, buildable details

• 5+ years of drafting experience in the glass and glazing industry
• Strong curtain wall and storefront detailing experience required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong understanding of façade systems, anchoring, and installation methods
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
