Overview
HEAD OF FINANCE REQUIRED - Shenfield, Essex
Salary for the Head of Finance: £60,000+ DOE
Role:
Head of Finance required for a recruitment company specialising in Construction, Driving & Industrial, and Facilities Management sectors
Job Requirements for Head of Finance
All tasks listed are to be completed for dual recruitment companies
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 5 in the finance department overseeing the full day to day. Team consists of senior payroll administrators, payroll assistants, and finance assistant
- Manage the factoring facility and complete monthly reconciliations, combined ledger of £5,500,000
- Oversee the credit control process
- Manage the cash flow, including forecasting and daily monitoring
- File CIS and VAT returns, and pay all liabilities
- Liaison with HMRC for all business matters
- Lead all audits including our factoring facility (Bi-Annually), client audits, and HMRC
- Assist MD with legal matters
- Responsible for weekly monthly and weekly P&L s
- Run monthly management accounts through Sage
- Oversee the trade insurances, request, and monitor all credit limits
- Lead all new insurance policy negotiations and onboarding (Annually)
- Assist external accountants with EOY accounts, providing all relevant information and figures
- Weekly aged debtor and non-funded analysis
- Weekly cash flow reporting to the MD
- Manage and process inter-company invoicing and loans
- Cost analysis
- Month end analysis and adjustments for the factoring reconciliations
- Manage due diligence
- Control and monitor our Sage accounting system ensuring accurate nominal code entries, VAT codes etc
- AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA Accounting qualification is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar position, preferably within recruitment
- Experience working in a senior environment
- Competent with Sage 50 or similar & IT literate
- Excellent communicational skills
- Salary: £60,000+ DOE
