Forklift Operator

P.R. Russell, a family-owned and operated mulch and soil manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. Located in Brentwood, NH, we pride ourselves on providing top-quality bark mulches, soil, and compost to our customers throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. As we continue to expand our product range, we are looking for self-motivated and energetic team members who can contribute to our growth and commitment to excellent customer service.

• Ensure safe and efficient handling of palletized materials in the warehouse, including loading and unloading of trucks.
• Conduct quality inspections of pallets before loading and accurately complete required paperwork.
• Manage pallets from the manufacturing line, including stacking and unstacking for storage and shipping.
• Perform physical inventory counts and basic maintenance on assigned machines.
• Assist in various tasks in the shop and yard, including operating additional machines, bagging equipment, testing materials, and cleaning.
• Maintain professional communication with drivers, customers, and front office staff, reporting any issues with orders.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience operating a forklift, with experience loading and unloading flatbed trailers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to use time efficiently.
• Organized and detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and work in various areas.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

This is a full-time position. The schedule includes 10-hour shifts and requires weekend availability. During the summer, the schedule is reduced to 4-day work weeks with 10-hour shifts.
