About The Company

Loop Neighborhood Market is based in Union City, Calif., with stores and stations across California. The company was founded in 1978 and develops real estate, owns and operates gas stations with convenience stores and car washes, and runs a wholesale division that delivers fuel to dealer locations.

Position Summary

This position requires individuals who are skilled in both supporting management operations and leading diverse teams. As an Assistant Team Leader you will aid the convenience store manager with daily operations— from completing daily paperwork to troubleshooting car wash and gas pump issues. Leadership duties include forecasting, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and providing role‑model customer service.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Training and coaching new store staff
  • Assisting in creating schedules in a time‑keeping system
  • Stocking products on shelves and maintaining a clean, professional appearance
  • Forecasting, ordering, stocking, and merchandising products
  • Reconciling store paperwork promptly
  • Delivering courteous, efficient customer service to customers, vendors, and staff
  • Maintaining a clean, customer‑friendly environment inside and outside the store
  • Assisting with management of store staff
  • Troubleshooting and resolving car wash related issues
  • Fixing gas‑related issues such as drive‑offs and pumps being down
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Six to nine months of experience as an assistant manager or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong mathematics ability
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to be part of a performance‑driven team
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
Employee Incentives
  • 6 months to 3 years: 0.10¢ off a gallon of fuel
  • 3 years to 5 years: 0.30¢ off a gallon of fuel
  • 5+ years: 0.40¢ off a gallon of fuel
  • Maximum 20 gallons and 2 fill‑ups per week
Physical Requirements

Constant standing, bending, and reaching; frequent lifting of 1 to 5 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40–50 pounds.

Additional Information
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week depending on business needs
