Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will manage lease accounting, reconcile and post to the general ledger, prepare financial reports, and perform duties for both commercial and residential property management.

• Auditing accounts payable and receivable
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Month‑end close activities
• Bank reconciliation
• Accounts receivable & payable processing
• 1099 preparation
• Posting journal entries to general ledger
• Commercial property annual CAM reconciliations
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

• Property management accounting/bookkeeping experience required
• Working knowledge of commercial property management
• Experience in online banking
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Discreet, professional handling of confidential information
• Detail oriented, team player, organized and quick learner
• Prioritization and multitasking skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong work ethic and initiative
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
• Accounting degree a plus
• Property management software experience a plus (e.g., Appfolio, Yardi, Buildium)
