DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist with monthly financial close within the scheduled time frames.

Requires a self-starter capable of working independently handling multiple tasks & performing under the pressure of deadlines.  Should be professional in appearance, detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills & have a high energy level.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education Four-year degree. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Experience               5-6 years of experience in public accounting or in multi-entity general ledger close, financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.  Superior level skills in computer technology with knowledge of Microsoft Office and extensive Excel knowledge; experience with Great Plain Dynamics and Management Reporter a plus.  Healthcare or long term care experiences a plus.

Requires someone with the ability to work as a professional with others in a team environment.  Specific Requirements Review and maintain assigned nursing facilities’ general ledgers.

Preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and with a high degree of accuracy.

Prepare and enter journal entries for payroll, accruals, and other month end items by deadline.

Analyze revenue and expenses to communicate variances to financial leaders.

Maintain Intercompany and balance sheet account reconciliations monthly.

Maintain capital expenditures ledger.

Preparation of interim and year-end audit work papers.

Assist with Medicaid/Medicare cost report audit requests.

Other related financial/census reporting.

Generate monthly reports to be distributed to facility and corporate management

Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and CFO
