Accounting Manager - Brentwood | On-Site

Vaco is partnering with a highly respected, mission-driven organization in Brentwood to hire an Accounting Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Controller and play an important role in the continued growth and development of the accounting function.

The Accounting Manager will be a hands‑on partner to the Controller with significant involvement in the month‑end close, reconciliations, accounting processes and internal controls. This person will also help identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, strengthen existing processes, and implement more automated tools and workflows as the organization continues to grow.

Over time, this role will have the opportunity to take on additional leadership responsibility and play an increasingly important role within the accounting team. • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Hands‑on month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Public accounting experience with a Big 4, national, or strong regional firm preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience improving accounting processes, controls, systems, or workflows is a plus
• Someone who is curious, investigative, and comfortable working through ambiguity
• Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and help build the processes around them
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service‑oriented approach
