Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and provide assistance
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve experience
  • Thank guests and express appreciation for choosing to shop at Target
  • Explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy
  • Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App, including Wallet
  • Understand Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
  • Handle returns following store policies and seek guidance from leaders as needed
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage stock during store hours
  • Adhere to safety, ethics and compliance policies
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up while complying with applicable laws

  • Ability to use multiple devices, handheld scanners and other technology as directed

  • Stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Basic Requirements / Additional Information
  • Accurate checkout operations, transactions, and support for cash office as needed
  • Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Comfort with varying temperatures and conditions in roles such as Drive-Up and carryout
