Project Architect
HMK Architects is seeking a licensed Project Architect to join our Nashville-area studio. We offer a collaborative, open work environment with substantial opportunity for growth. What You’ll Do- Work directly with principals and clients to define goals, solve problems, and deliver successful projects.
- Lead and participate in client meetings, maintaining strong, ongoing client relationships.
- Use Autodesk Revit for space planning, design development, and production of construction documents.
- Mentor junior team members, delegate tasks, and help guide project teams.
- Coordinate work with consultants and engineers to support cohesive project delivery.
- Communicate with the principal-in-charge to establish project objectives, expectations, and timelines.
- Licensed Architect (U.S.).
- 5+ years of professional experience in an architectural office.
- Experience in healthcare design, including familiarity with clinical workflows, patient-centered design, and healthcare planning principles.
- Strong creative thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from a NAAB‑accredited program.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (5+ years).
- Commitment to continued professional growth and a collaborative team culture.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Proficiency in Bluebeam.
- Experience with 3D visualization software (Enscape preferred).
- 8+ years of professional experience in an architectural office.
