Parsons is now hiring for both a Senior Roadway Engineer in the Nashville area to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community.
Your projects could include new roadway designs, interstate widening/expansions, roundabouts, intersection improvements, and roadway or bridge rehabilitations - just to name a few!
What You’ll Be Doing- Perform complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately
- Extract engineering information from CAD drawings
- Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes
- Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines and other departments
- Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
- Review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses
- Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
- Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project
- May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances
- May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 8+ years of related work experience
- Professional Engineer registration
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
- Previous and relevant DOT experience
