Senior Transportation Project Manager

The Transportation Project Manager will lead the delivery of roadway projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design phases to construction. You’ll manage a team of engineers and designers in all aspects of design and plan preparation for roadway, highway, and civil improvement projects for State, City, and County agencies.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct and manage transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of multi-disciplinary transportation planning projects across the region.
- Provide superior client service through quality management, technical excellence, responsiveness, and production management of design plans and specifications, reports and analyses.
- Prepare scope, schedule, and budgets for projects and task orders.
- Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Oversee the planning and design for roadway, Bridge and traffic engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Assist in business development and proposal efforts with local municipal, state, and private clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences or a closely related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer in TN or ability to retain PE within 1 year.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience transportation and project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projects.
- Proficiency in transportation design software, including Open Roads and Micro Station.
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
