Job Description

Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check‑in and checkout processes are completed.

  • Acknowledge and greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Schedule appointments
  • Gather patient and insurance information
  • Verify and enter patient demographics and insurance information into EMR, ensuring all fields are complete
  • Maintain a clear understanding of insurance plans and communicate insurance information to patients
  • Pull schedules to verify insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensure files are complete
  • Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
  • Print and prepare forms for patients' visits
  • Collect and document all charges, co‑pays, and payments into EMR
  • Allocate balances to insurance as needed
  • Always maintain a clean workspace and practice economy in the use of equipment and supplies
  • Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by manager
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality
