We are seeking a skilled  Fortinet Network Engineer  to design, implement, and maintain secure, high‑performance network infrastructure across our corporate enterprise and customer environments. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with  Forti Gate firewalls ,  Forti Analyzer , and  VPN technologies , and is comfortable working in fast‑paced, security‑focused environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, deploy and maintain  Forti Gate firewalls , including security policies, NAT, routing, HA, and SD‑WAN.

Manage and optimize  Forti Analyzer  for log collection, event correlation, reporting, and security analytics.

Implement, troubleshoot, and support  VPN solutions , including IPsec, SSL VPN, and site‑to‑site connectivity.

Monitor network performance and security posture, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

Perform firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and lifecycle management for Fortinet appliances.

Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure and reliable network operations.

Conduct root‑cause analysis for network incidents and implement corrective actions.

Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.

Participate in on‑call rotation and provide escalation support as needed.

Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experience

Strong hands‑on experience with  Forti Gate firewalls  (mid‑range and enterprise models preferred).

Proficiency with  Forti Analyzer  for centralized logging, reporting, and event management.

Solid understanding of  VPN technologies : IPsec, SSL VPN, remote access, and site‑to‑site tunnels.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), VLANs, switching, and NAT.

Experience with network security concepts: intrusion prevention, content filtering, threat intelligence, and segmentation.

Ability to analyze packet captures and troubleshoot complex network issues.

Familiarity with other Fortinet products (Forti Manager, Forti Switch, FortiAP) is a plus.

Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving and negotiating skills.

Comfortable working in a customer‑facing environment and in some customer meetings.

Comfortable with up to 20% travel to customer sites and other PDF offices/facilities.

Nice to Have Skills and Certifications

Fortinet NSE certifications  (NSE4, NSE5, or higher).

Experience in enterprise, MSP, and multi‑tenant environments.

Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS) and hybrid connectivity.

Scripting or automation experience (Python, Power Shell, API integrations).

Experience with setting up or administering SASE, ZTNA networks.

Exposure with LLM, Agentic workflows, MCP servers and interfaces.

Pay Range
EUR €40,000.00 - €50,000.00 /Yr.
