Job Purpose/Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Grocery Sales Representative to join our Pet Nutrition & Food Field Sales team in the north of Italy (BG, BS, CR, MB, MI).
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth through Perfect store excellent execution, ensuring product availability and effective in-store activations, and building strong relationships with grocery retailers.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Coverage: Conduct regular visits to grocery stores and retail outlets within your assigned territory, ensuring optimal coverage in line with guidelines and fostering strong relationships with store personnel
Range Compliance: make sure that the product assortment available at each point of sale meets Mars' standards. Implement corrective actions to address any missing SKUs and ensure compliance with agreed assortment and portfolio priorities
Reduction of Out of Stock (OOS): Monitor stock levels for each SKU, implementing strategies to minimize out-of-stocks. Adjust shelf layouts when necessary to optimize product placement and
Perfect Store Compliance: Continuously work on execution to improve Perfect store compliance by enhancing the shopping experience, through effective merchandising and promotional execution
Execution of Promotional Plans: Collaborate with retailers to implement promotional activities, negotiating the best space and quality for displays, in line with agreed activations
Competitive Intelligence: Gather and analyze competitive information to identify trends and opportunities in the market, providing insights to the management team to inform strategic decisions
Skills and Competencies
Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
Strong understanding of the grocery retail landscape and consumer behavior.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
