American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Acute Care/ICU unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior ICU or stepdown experience.

• Acute Care unit providing care ranging from Med-Surg to ICU levels
• 30-bed unit staffed with 40+ team members including RNs, LPNs, and NAs
• Patient ratios of 2-4:1 for ICU/stepdown and 5-6:1 for Med-Surg, supported by PCTs as needed
• Utilizes IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis
• Documents care using the Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Floating to TCU required
• Weekend rotation of 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week schedule

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, to be completed by end of orientation
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
• ICU or stepdown experience preferred
• 1 year of Med-Surg experience preferred
• Experience performing IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Participate in a Team-Based Care model with daily interdisciplinary rounds including MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacists, and PT/OT
• Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Navy blue scrubs required for nurses; galaxy/royal blue scrubs required for NAs
• Holiday coverage required per staffing matrix
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
