** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving patients, visitors, staff, and restricted areas.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.

+ Assist with controlling access to designated areas, verifying visitor credentials as directed by site policies, and maintaining awareness of healthcare facility protocols.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.

+ Have at least 6 months of experience as a Security Professional.

+ Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.

+ Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
