The Brewer School Committee is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and experienced administrator to lead the Brewer School Department in its mission to create lessons and pathways that engage, challenge, and inspire students to learn and to invest in themselves and their community.

The next Superintendent must have a thorough understanding of teaching practices and the ability to articulate a vision to educate and guide each and every student to a successful, healthy, and meaningful future. They must have a proven ability to work collaboratively with local government officials and the capacity to connect with and involve all stakeholders in the district. Good business acumen is essential.

A qualified candidate will have strong central office experience combined with a background in teaching. Maine Superintendent Certification or eligibility for certification is necessary.

The Brewer School Department is prepared to provide a multi-year contract with a regionally competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
