Psychotherapist (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) - Behavioral Health Connection
Penobscot Community Health Care is seeking a psychotherapist to work in and support our growing Behavioral Health Connection service, based at PCHC’s Brewer Medical Center. You will care for your own patient panel and partner with care teams across the PCHC organization, providing intakes for new patients. The BHC Therapist promotes timely access to care, continuity of care, and the enhancement of well-being for everyone, regardless of life circumstance.
Qualifications- LCSW, LCPC, LMFT or conditionally licensed providers encouraged to apply.
- Advanced degree in MH Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy required.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of Maine to provide mental health counseling.
- Full-time 40‑hour week, generally Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Some in‑person work required at Brewer Medical Center; mostly remote schedule will be available after ramp‑up.
- Practice and collaborate with peer PCHC therapists embedded in outpatient primary care practices across the organization.
- Provide two psychiatric assessments per day, serve as an empaneled provider, and offer individual, couples, group counseling and mental health triage.
- Work with diverse populations across the lifespan.
- Be well‑versed in a variety of counseling modalities, including solution‑focused and long‑term therapy, and comfortable in a dynamic, growing professional environment.
