Akasha Brewing Company, based in Five Dock NSW, was founded in 2015 and has developed a reputation for producing some of the country’s favourite hop forward beers such as Hopsmith IPA, Freshwater Pale Ale and Korben Double IPA.

Our Sydney brewery is on the lookout for a trainee brewer. This rare opportunity to join the Akasha team will suit an individual with a passion for hand‑crafted, hop-forward beer and a desire to work with some of the best in their field.

• Learning our brewing processes on our 12HL and 3HL systems ensuring each batch is made consistently to brand
• Daily cellar, canning and kegging operations with an exceptional level of attention to detail
• Performing quality control, lab testing, cleaning and warehousing tasks
• Regular maintenance of the brew house and other equipment in the brewery
• Daily input of information into the brewery management system
• Assist with marketing activities as appropriate, including events and trade shows/festivals, etc.
• Assist with the brewery’s logistics operations

• A love of quality, independent Australian beer
• Beer related qualification or relevant tertiary experience preferred
• Basic technical knowledge of brewing, packaging, brewing science and sensory
• NSW RSA and Forklift licence preferred
