Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep
Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training is up to date.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure qualified selections.
- Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds with the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including adherence to posted work schedules, obtaining approvals for changes/deviations, and accurate timekeeping.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, end-of-day procedures, money/deposits verification, bank deposits as needed, and secure the building and deliveries.
- Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
