Retail Service Specialist

Overview

Retail Service Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts. The role supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations, and may assume shift management in the absence of leadership.

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure calls and inquiries are handled according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds using correct payment methods and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before the product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Monitor adherence to the posted work schedule; manage deviations with approval from a manager; ensure proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, money/deposit verification and preparation of deposits, ensure night security, lock/secure the building and vehicles, and manage security systems as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Strong communication skills; ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Desired:
  Retail sales experience (preferably in auto parts); automotive systems and repair knowledge; ASE Certification; multilingual fluency (Spanish highly desired).
