Teacher Support Specialist (Sign-On Bonus up to $1000)

Base Pay$20.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus (November 17 – January 30)- 30–40 hrs/week: $300 at 60 days + $700 at 120 days (total $1,000)
- 20–29 hrs/week: $200 at 60 days + $300 at 120 days (total $500)
- A high‑school degree or GED
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to handle children in crisis situations with safety and compassion
Mon – Fri, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Weekend differential: $3.00 per hour for shifts from 7 am Saturday through 6:59 am Monday.
Key Responsibilities- Cooperate with the Special Education teacher to plan and implement classroom‑related activities.
- Assume classroom responsibility in the teacher’s absence.
- Supervise students during classroom activities.
- Collaborate with team members to implement IEP objectives.
- Maintain classroom appearance.
- Record daily behavioral progress in individual tracking logs.
- Communicate daily with the Special Education teacher about issues affecting students.
- Participate actively in supervision and Special Education component meetings.
- Plan and assist with activities for school vacations and summer‑school recreation programs.
- Correct student classroom work; review results with students and teachers.
- Understand and implement the school behavior‑management program.
- Design and implement individualized and group behavior‑management programs.
- Other duties as directed by the Special Education teacher or principal.
- Implement pre‑vocational/vocational activities.
- Perform work related to normal duties except for occasional emergencies.
