Compensation

$21.75 – $23.40 per hour (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus

Up to $1,000 for new hires until Jan 30:

  • 30–40 hrs/week: $300 at 60 days + $700 at 120 days (total $1,000)
  • 20–29 hrs/week: $200 at 60 days + $300 at 120 days (total $500)

Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping behavior and fostering growth. As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll work closely with educational, clinical, and residential staff to provide hands‑on support and crisis management for students in need.

You'll actively engage with students, offer constructive feedback, and help implement individualized behavior plans while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for youth and adolescents struggling to integrate within their residential group
  • Offer constructive feedback on student behavior to teachers, clinical, and residential staff to foster growth and collaboration
  • Step in as the Residential Supervisor’s designee when needed, ensuring smooth operations in their absence
  • Implement and follow through on individualized behavior plans to support student development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all student‑related activities and incidents
  • Oversee the organization and cleanliness of staff offices, common areas, restricted items cabinets, and timeout spaces
  • Assist students with residential activities and provide additional support to help them succeed
  • Review and act on daily log entries, incident reports, and clinical logs
  • Collaborate with Residential Supervisors on logistics, programming, supply requisition, and student management strategies
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, ADLs, and aides to ensure effective implementation of interventions
  • Oversee smooth transitions between residential activities and daily programming
  • Continuously improve positive, non‑threatening behavior management approaches
  • Complete additional duties as assigned, including response to occasional emergencies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong therapeutic behavior management skills
  • Ability to physically intervene when necessary to ensure the safety of students and staff
  • One year of experience in a related field preferred but not required
