Team Leader, Management

Overview

Join H&R Block as a Team Leader. You will provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate the seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll lead and develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and drive office growth objectives while expanding your knowledge of tax topics and products for the team.

• Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
• Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved.
• Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office work is completed on time, with attention to quality standards and priorities.
• Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions; lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information.
• Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
• Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews; address performance concerns with appropriate escalation.

• Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns); annual continuing education to meet IRS and state requirements.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Customer-centric mindset, being passionate, determined, and resilient.

• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
