Registered Nurse - Heart and Vascular Prep​/Recovery, Cath Lab

The Registered Nurse in the Heart and Vascular Prep/Recovery, Cath Lab provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. • Pay: $46 - $46/hour
• Location: Brick, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Education:

• BSN preferred/and or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.

Experience:

• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
• 2+ years of nursing experience highly desired.
• Telemetry experience highly desired.
• 1 year of Cath Lab experience highly desired.
• Critical Care experience highly desired.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS certification is strongly preferred.
