Role and Responsibilities Summary
An administrative assistant within the security industry plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the business while ensuring that security-related processes and services run efficiently. Below are the typical roles and responsibilities for this position:
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as managing schedules, booking appointments, and maintaining files.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients, staff, and vendors.
- Prepare and manage office documents and correspondence (e.g., reports, letters, memos).
- Organise meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
- Maintain and update client databases, including security personnel schedules, incidents, and equipment inventory.
- Process and manage incoming reports (e.g., security incident reports, site logs).
- Attend events and festivals on weekdays and weekends to help with admin and allocating kit.
In this role, strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, as the assistant will need to juggle various tasks while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, especially concerning sensitive security matters.
