Sinclair Volkswagen Bridgend is actively seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Prep Technician to join our growing team. Job Title: Used Vehicle Prep Technician

Full time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Saturday morning on a rota basis

Position pays: £30,000 basic £41,500,000 OTE (dependant on experience)

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy and presentation ready for customer handover and sale. Working within a busy and professional workshop environment, the role will also involve supporting day to day workshop operations through tyre-fitting, wheel balancing, wheel alignment checks.

  • Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used vehicles.
  • Prepare used vehicles to approved Sinclair and manufacturers standards
  • Fit, remove, repair and balance tyres safely and efficiently
  • Carry out wheel alignment checks and report defects or wear issues
  • Complete basic servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs as required
  • Identify and report additional vehicle work to the Workshop Controller
  • Maintain workshop equipment and tyre fitting machinery to the highest standards
  • Support the workshop team in maintaining a clean organised and safe working environment
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties required within the workshop
More about you
  • A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical and technical repair
  • Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A current full driving Licence.
