We are offering an opportunity for someone to join the Social Care Workforce Development Team and follow an apprenticeship programme which will give you the skills and experience to pursue a career in business administration.

Gaining on the job training, experience and support to achieve a QCF (Qualification Credit Framework) level 2 in business administration, you will learn about the work of the Social Care Workforce Development Team, the Social Services and Wellbeing Directorate and Bridgend County Borough Council.

Assisting in all areas of administration within the Social Care Workforce Development Team, you will be responsible for supporting learning and development activity across the social care sector in Bridgend.

You will already have excellent ICT skills, including word processing and spreadsheets with experience of using Microsoft Office products or equivalent. This will be supported by a good standard of education with a minimum of 3 GCSE's, to include English and Maths, at grade C or above. Equally important will be your positive attitude towards learning and development and the ability to work with others.

Applications will not be considered for those who have already achieved a qualification at an equivalent or higher level in same subject area, including a degree in any subject area. Also, applicants currently in receipt of WG funding for study purposes will not be able to be considered.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
