Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Laing O'Rourke are currently recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Bridgend. We have been appointed as construction partner for National Grid's Great Grid Partnership programme, which forms part of a supply chain framework that will also support infrastructure projects beyond 2030.

• All Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections.
• Assist with preparation of interim applications for payment and internal valuations.
• Measurement and agreement of simple subcontractors' accounts.
• Assisting in preparation of loss and expense submissions.
• Preparation and agreement of records.
• Assisting with the preparation of final account, including pricing.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly contract review reports.
• Progress towards and achieve professional status.
• Keep your manager fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise and could affect the business/project.

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management / Construction Management).
• NEC contract experience.
• A desire to learn the risk and opportunity process both internally and with our client.
• A willingness to be involved in other activities to achieve company objectives.
• A drive to learn and grow to the next grade.
