Salary
Salary scale 5: £30,165 - £33,119 (pro rata). Please note, actual salary will be based on the number of term‑time only weeks worked. For example, from 5th January 2026, the pro‑rata salary will be £7,443 for 23 weeks worked. For the full 40 weeks, the pro‑rata salary will be £13,300 - £14,603.

OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join us in the role of a Progress Coach, joining our existing team at Bridgend College. As a Progress Coach, you will champion our learners' progress and success by managing a person‑centred learner journey for a caseload of learners within a curriculum area, enabling them to be all that they can be.
As well as tracking their learner programme progress you will also develop and support the personal, social and emotional wellbeing of students, building their confidence, resilience and core skills through the Learning Programme Promise and by facilitating the college's tutorial programme.
- Champion learners' progress and success by managing a person‑centred learner journey for a caseload of learners within a curriculum area.
- Track learner programme progress while developing and supporting the personal, social and emotional wellbeing of students through the Learning Programme Promise and the college's tutorial programme.
- Experience of successfully working with young people in a post‑16 environment, delivering high levels of care and compassion with a person‑centred approach.
- Diplomacy, tact and emotional resilience when working with challenging students.
- Background in Creative Arts is particularly welcomed.
