We are currently recruiting a School Caretaker for a friendly and welcoming primary school in the Bridgend area. This is a temporary placement through Teacher Active, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and making a real difference in a school community.

Your Responsibilities:

Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks around the school grounds and buildings

Ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well-presented at all times

Opening and locking up the premises as required

Assisting with setting up classrooms and school events

Monitoring cleaning standards and reporting any health & safety concerns

✅ We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or site management role (school experience desirable)

A practical, proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills

Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures

Reliability, good communication, and the ability to work independently

An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Teacher Active)
