Role Overview for Year 1 Teacher:

* Salary Range: MPS1 - UPS3 (aligned to pay scale)

* Contract:

Full-time, 1-year contract

London Borough of Brent, accessible with excellent transport links

Key Responsibilities of Year 1 Teacher:

The successful candidate will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with either a PGCE or a Bachelor of Education;
Early Career Teachers (ECT) are also encouraged to apply

* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment

* Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to Year 1 students

* Address and manage challenging behaviors through creative and constructive approaches

* Assess student progress, offering feedback and support to foster growth

* Work well both independently and collaboratively with the teaching team
