Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for ensuring vulnerable learners educational needs are being met. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of a team that promotes the needs of vulnerable learners in accessing good quality education that meets their needs.
Your experience in education, social care or the voluntary sector will allow you to work closely with a variety of staff across education and social care to improve outcomes for those children in identified vulnerable groups.
This group of learners includes but is not exclusive to those who have elected to be home educated, children who are supported by the Youth Justice Service, children with English as an additional language, Gypsy Traveller Families, children who are looked after and children who risk of exclusion or children deemed to be at risk of significant harm.
You will work with Education Engagement Team Coordinators and education welfare officers to support families who choose to electively home educate, attend meeting and conferences to share feedback on behalf of education as well as supporting visits and events for our electively home educated children and young people.
