Talbot House Children’s Charity is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher / Early Years Teacher to work with SEN pupils with complex needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, trauma, and attachment. The role is to teach Early Years (Key Stage 1 &
2).
You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of the curriculum, strong classroom management skills, and high expectations for all pupils to achieve their potential. You must have current or recent experience working with Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 pupils and a proven ability to support pupils with multiple needs.
Qualifications:
QTS with completed ECT induction (NQT). Formal qualification and experience with SEN (SEMH, ASD, ADHD, trauma, attachment). Ability to meet the Teachers’ Standards.
Hours of work: 39 hours per week during the term. Monday to Thursday, 8:00‑4:00 am (or 8:30‑4:30 am for childcare flexibility) and Friday, 8:00‑3:00 am (or 8:30‑3:30 am). Extra hours may be required on occasions such as GCSE results days.
Salary:
Comparable to M1‑M6 pay band, plus £2,787.00 SEN allowance.
Start date:
1 September 2026 (subject to notice period).
