We are seeking a passionate and skilled Art & Design Instructor Demonstrator to join our creative team at the Yale campus.

ID1 £ 26,980- ID4 £ 31,245. Upper pay range points are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine.

Responsibilities

As an Instructor Demonstrator, you will be primarily responsible for delivering and supporting structured practical sessions that foster the technical skills and creative talents of our students. You will prepare and execute practical activities derived from the Art and Design Curriculum Lead and relevant lecturers across different disciplines. Additionally you will maintain the Art & Design Gallery which plays an important part of the curriculum delivery.

You will maintain meticulous records and uphold professional standards when interacting with both students and faculty. Creating a supportive learning environment, championing equal opportunities, and adhering to health and safety protocols are all critical facets of this role. You will also participate in staff development initiatives and are encouraged to pursue your own continuous professional development.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter
  • Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
  • Recent industrial experience in the relevant specialist area
Welsh Language Skills

Welsh language skills are an essential requirement for this role. Welsh learners with the ability to reach a level 3/4 within 18 months to 2 years are also encouraged to apply. Welsh learners will need to be at Level 2 and demonstrate a commitment to achieving fluency. A Welsh Language skills assessment will form part of the selection process.
