FCJ Primary School:
Teaching Assistant.
Role:
Work under teacher guidance to implement learning programmes, manage resources, and support pupils (inc. pre‑school).
Lead active, positive break times and model school ethos. Supervise whole classes for short‑term cover/PPA when required.
Responsibilities- Pupil Support:
Promote independence; implement IEPs; meet physical/medical needs; record progress. - Teacher Support:
Assist with planning, marking, routine testing, and clerical tasks. Maintain home‑school partnerships; manage behaviour constructively. - Curriculum:
Deliver core strategies (English, Maths, Early Years) and support Computing. - School Support:
Comply with child protection, health and safety, and strict confidentiality. - Attend staff meetings; supervise outings or Extended Day/Holiday Club.
