32.5 hours per week, Term Time, Temporary. One-year appointment. The Governors of Brackla Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and conscientious Learning Support Officer to work in a highly motivated, friendly teaching team.

The successful candidate will provide essential support in the primary phase and will:

• Have experience of working with pupils across the primary phase.
• Be dedicated to their own professional development and school improvement.
• Be able to work in close partnership with teaching and support staff.
• Be highly motivated and able to work on their own initiative.
• Be prepared to undertake 30 minutes lunch duty per day.
• Hold at least NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and have good experience of working with children in a school environment.

• Ability to greet customers in Welsh.
• Enhanced Childrens Barred List check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
• Protecting children, young people or adults at risk (core responsibility of all council employees).
