Overview

We have a great opportunity to join Novus Gower, our prison education provider at HMP Parc, as a Music Technology Tutor. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week within the Young People’s unit.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Music Technology sessions that engage and motivate learners.
  • Create a stimulating and vibrant learning environment.
  • Meet quality targets and deliver accurate, timely reports.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to support learners.
  • Motivate and enthuse learners and support positive progression.
  • Prioritise workload with strong organisational skills to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Contribute to positive team working within the educational provision.
Qualifications
  • Hold a teaching qualification; where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Have relevant industry knowledge, experience or qualifications in the subject.
  • Experience of creating stimulating and engaging learning environments.
  • Experience of achieving quality targets and producing accurate, timely reports.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to motivate learners.
  • Excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines and targets.
