Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a specialist SEN provision in the Bridgend area.

This is a rewarding yet highly challenging role, supporting pupils with complex behavioural needs. The position will primarily involve working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners, so prior experience with older students and managing challenging behaviour is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and additional learning needs
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours effectively and safely
Support students in accessing their education and promoting positive outcomes
Work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Ideal Candidate:

Confident, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure
Experienced in working with challenging behaviours (essential)
Strong behaviour management skills
